Public Works Director Alonso Limones told the council on April 14 that 27 of 37 planned water line replacements have been completed and he expects the remaining work to finish by the first week of May.
City Manager Eric Underwood reported several funding and project updates: he said Pacific Gas & Electric (PGE) rates are rising; the city submitted a $2.6 million application through Congresswoman Salinas' office for funding related to water well #4; and the city will use a $20,000 Marion County Community Prosperity Grant to electrify the gazebo and upgrade Wi‑Fi and security cameras with a completion target by the end of June.
Underwood noted a special council meeting is scheduled for April 28 to revisit council goals and to consider the City Manager contract. The council recorded no objections to these project updates during the meeting.
