On April 14 the Donald City Council voted to authorize the City Manager to complete forms related to the Oregon Recycling Modernization Act (RMA) fund allocation. The motion, made by Councilor Jan Olsen and seconded by Councilor Richard Wright, passed unanimously, 6-0-0.
Marcus Gerber of Loren's Sanitation presented on the RMA earlier in the meeting and answered council questions about how the law affects local collection and funding. The council took no additional amendments to the authorization; the minutes record the action as "authorize the City Manager to complete forms related to the Oregon RMA Fund Allocation." Staff will complete the paperwork to pursue the city's allocation of RMA funds.
The vote took place as part of new business and was recorded with a 6-0-0 tally (Ayes: Houdyshell, Hungate, Olsen, Plunkett, Strathdee, Wright).
