At Monday’s business meeting the Clover School District Board of Trustees handled routine approvals and took several actions:
- Agenda, minutes and staff personnel actions from executive session were approved "without objection." - Two change orders for Lake Wylie High were approved by voice: the building-package change order (change order #5) for $292,271.21 (which includes an approximately $27,000 ROTC drill pad) and an early-site package change order for $38,468. Dr. Hopkins said the amounts were within LMG projections. - The board approved a one-time sick-leave payout for staff with more than 90 days of accrued sick leave, estimated at $103,000 affecting about 140 employees at historical rates ($100/day certified, $50/day support).
The interdistrict transfer policy (JFAB) and its administrative rule (JFABC) were presented for first reading; staff will submit a draft to the State Department of Education by the end of July and return for a second reading by the end of August.
