Board approves two change orders for Lake Wylie High site and building packages

Trustees approved a $292,271.21 building-package change order for Lake Wylie High (including a $27,000 ROTC drill pad) and an early-site package change order of $38,468. Staff said the amounts are within LMG projections and will be credited or deducted as appropriate.
The Clover School District Board approved two change orders related to the Lake Wylie High School project during Monday’s meeting.
Dr. Hopkins described a building-package change order that includes additional code-compliance work and credits for unused scopes of work. He said the ROTC drill pad addition was "about $27,000 which is part of that 292,271.21." The building-package change order was presented as change order number 5. He also presented an early-site package change order of $38,468 to address athletic-area asphalt repairs, drainage corrections and cleanup; Dr. Hopkins said Southern (the contractor responsible for some athletic work) will have the deduction applied to its contract.
The Chair called for questions; none were raised. By unanimous voice and 'without objection' the board approved the Lake Wylie High building-package change order and the early-site package change order so staff can proceed to close items needed for the certificate of occupancy.
