CDD adopts amended FY2023/24 budget to cover new lawnmower and contingencies

The Heritage Pines Community Development District unanimously adopted Resolution 2025-02 on Dec. 10, 2024 to amend the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget following a presentation by District Manager Chuck Adams.
Adams told the board the amendment was necessary to record a major expenditure related to a new lawnmower and that a column was added to the budget showing "Actual" versus "Adopted Budget" and "Proposed Increase/(Decrease)." The board increased the "Operations and maintenance - Contingencies" line item by $20,000 to allow for additional journal entries, with unused funds to remain in the surplus fund balance. Ms. Lonergan reported the district is due a $1,298 refund from the Tax Collector's Office attributable to differences between actual and amended budget numbers.
The motion to adopt Resolution 2025-02 was made by Michael Walsh, seconded by Stephen Putman, and approved unanimously. No amendments to the resolution were recorded during discussion.
The board did not set additional spending authorizations beyond the budget amendment during the meeting.
