The principal (S9) reported that the district held a two‑day new‑teacher workshop on July 15–16 for 18 new teachers. Sessions covered technology (Canvas, Skyward), attendance and grading procedures, special-education processes and insurance benefits; the principal described a layered support model including administrative mentors and department chairs.
S9 said the district will implement a two-year mentor program: first-year teachers will meet monthly with the principal and be paired with mentor teachers; in year two meetings will shift to a quarterly cadence. "We put a a new 2 year mentor program in place," S9 said, describing the monthly meetings and classroom-level mentoring structure.
