The City of the Village of Clarkston City Council voted unanimously Feb. 24 to change its method of publishing meeting minutes. Councilmember Erica Jones moved the measure, supported by Mayor Pro Tem Laura Rodgers; the motion carried 5-0.
Under the new practice, the Clarkston News will run a notice directing readers to the city's website or the city clerk for full minutes rather than publishing the full minutes in the newspaper. The minutes record that the change takes effect immediately; the council did not record additional steps or a sunset date in the meeting minutes.
