Council praises volunteers, reports beach repairs and plans for park events

Council member Brian Cassidy thanked families for maintaining flowers in planters along the beach stops and asked residents to water them if needed; he reported the village had turned on water at the stops and that landings at Stops 41.5 and 40 were repaired.
Cassidy said the water temperature at the stops measured about 60 degrees and noted that Stop 41 was waiting for a replacement part although shower service was working. He also suggested exploring phone-service satellite options for the beach area to improve connectivity.
Public Works Superintendent Rick Reitz said fresh mulch had been added to the park, the basketball court and Village parking areas were sealed and painted, and seasonal employee Cole returned to manage park and beach oversight, including ensuring kayak racks display new stickers.
Mike Mumper noted the village's first Music in the Park drew about 100 attendees and that courts will be closed during village events to be considerate to performers and people attending.
