Tree Board to plant grant-funded trees Sept. 24; grant paperwork due Sept. 30

Nancy Thill of the Tree Board told the council the board purchased trees with grant funding that will be planted in the park on Sept. 24. Thill said the board must submit paperwork showing expenditures by Sept. 30 and noted the grant completion date is Sept. 1, 2025.
Thill also reported AEP has resumed tree trimming work and urged residents to mark Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. for Arbor Day events at the park. The Tree Board said it may pursue another grant for 2025 and is coordinating plantings near the creek with consultant Beth from Pizzo.
