Planning commission to follow 2005 template; council pauses Sport Courts until master plan work complete

The Village of Michiana Planning Commission and council signaled they will use the 2005 Master Plan format as a template while preparing an RFP and letter of intent for consultants. Planning Commission Chair Julie Bonello briefed council on the plan update process and consultant outreach.
During the Sept. 6 meeting, Planning Commission member Mike Botelho moved to pause Sport Courts construction until the Master Plan framework is completed; Tim McCarthy seconded and the motion passed 5–0 by roll call. Bonello said the commission will meet with consultants and draft documents under the agreed format.
