The Winter Harbor Selectmen voted 3-0 on March 9 to appoint Polly Earl, Wayne Martin, Jean Robertson, Ruth Littlefield and Jackie Jacobs to the town’s Budget Committee. The motion to appoint the five residents passed without recorded opposition.
Selectmen chair G. Harrington moved the appointments during routine business; the minutes record the approval as 3-0. The Budget Committee will meet in a new location for better acoustics, and the full budget presentation was rescheduled after a missed meeting caused by internet loss and a snowstorm. The minutes note the Budget Committee meeting will be moved to the chartroom at Misty Harbor because the Masonic Hall “acoustics were not good in the Masonic Hall for hearing impaired members,” a change announced at the meeting.
The appointees were named on the record during the March 9 session; the Selectmen indicated the committee will take up the town budget at a later meeting when all materials can be presented.
