Cloud Lake special meeting ends after site visit; item continued to Feb. 13

The Town of Cloud Lake special council meeting was called to order by Mayor Russ Nidy at 10:05 a.m. on Jan. 18, 2025. Attending were Mayor Nidy, Vice Mayor Marion Chateau-Flagg, Council Member Kathleen Hoock and Town Clerk Dorothy Gravelin; Council Members Alexandra Powell-Sardinas and John Tyson were recorded as absent. Noncouncil attendees included property owner Ray Pola and Tom Lisi of Glen Ridge.
After reviewing the land-swap proposal and conducting a site visit to 202 Shannondale Road, the council recorded a memorandum from Town Attorney Bill Doney that "provided potential issues" related to the trade; no specific issues were read into the public record. Mayor Nidy briefly left to take the clerk home after she was not feeling well, then returned. The council took no formal action and adjourned at approximately 11 a.m.; the land-swap matter will be further discussed at the Feb. 13 council meeting.
