The council approved the check register totaling $157,983.26 after a motion by Tim McCarthy and a second by Mike Botelho. Treasurer Tracey McCay reported the Pokagon Fund balance at $43,329 and noted two certificates of deposit will mature in December; she said she is watching interest rates for reinvestment.
Heywood reported Octoberfest was a success with all 100 tickets sold and that wagon wheel light fixtures are available for purchase at $150 each. Tracey said a Treasurer's letter explaining the renewed five-year operating millage (approved in August) will be mailed with the winter tax statements; the police department will include an emergency form with its mailing.
