Resident Beatriz Wallace raised concerns about an ADT Solar installation at her home, saying the company left her with an uncovered panel box that her insurance company requires fixed and that large battery boxes were installed that she believes are unnecessary for residential use. Wallace told council she has had ongoing trouble getting ADT to respond and said ADT is no longer operating in southeast Florida.
Mayor Russ Nidy said he has an appointment with the Building Official and will ask that official to inspect the installation while on site. Council took the complaint as a referral for staff follow‑up; no formal code enforcement action was recorded at the meeting.
