Council approves payments and annual maintenance contracts for Town Hall and The Preserve

The council heard an update from Tom Lisi on Nov. 14 about invasive-plant removal and recent maintenance at The Preserve. Lisi reported removing roughly 80% of the invasive maiden cane, replacing a broken Rain Bird irrigation timer, and identifying native plants previously covered by invasives. He also reported that Plantwell has not mowed The Preserve for several months.
Council voted to reimburse Lisi $556.09 for the timer, installation and fertilizer and $1,735.53 for fuel, brush cutter blades, flagging tape, mulch and fertilizer (total $2,291.62). The council also accepted annual maintenance proposals from Lisi: $3,500 per year for Town Hall landscaping and $7,000 per year for The Preserve. All motions carried 4-0 with Council Member John Tyson absent.
