Council approves engineering agreements for federal grant-funded pedestrian underpass

The Ashland City Council voted unanimously June 18 to approve Resolution 2026-9 with JEO and Resolution 2026-10 with HDR to provide civil and environmental engineering services for a pedestrian underpass project. Both resolutions were described at the meeting as agreements with NDOT-approved contractors. The motions carried on unanimous roll call votes. The approvals authorize execution of the engineering agreements; specific contract amounts, schedules, and construction funding remain contingent on grant awards and subsequent procurement steps.
