Council hears update on Dyer Way culvert repairs and state water-department permit amendment

In announcements, Council member S3 told the council that the county has obtained the necessary permits and that work on the Dyer Way culvert project is expected to begin soon. "They have gotten some permits," S3 said, adding that construction should start "very soon."
S3 also reported that the Oregon water department responded to Dune City's permit amendment with a list of follow-up items the city must address; staff are working on those requirements. Council members briefly discussed the location of the culvert and whether the repaired road will be public or private and noted residents may assume maintenance responsibilities if it becomes private.
