Commission debates fueling hours, no-self-fueling signs and fuel pricing

Chair (S2) summarized that the council is finalizing a resolution on self-fueling and noted signs have been posted; staff and slipholders discussed whether signage would be sufficient for compliance. One commissioner said the ordinance has been prepared by council but not yet adopted and "I won't have a set rate until the resolution gets notified."
The meeting also covered fuel pricing and staffing for fueling hours. Commissioners and staff discussed trialing extended hours (extending from the current 12:30–6 p.m./6:30 p.m. window to potentially 7 p.m. during busy season), overtime effects on benefits and backup coverage. Chair (S2) asked staff to track demand during the season and report back at the next meeting so the commission can decide whether to make changes; "Let's run it. See how we do," Chair (S2) said. The commission emphasized that if extended hours are offered outside scheduled staffing, customers will be charged an overtime fee.
