The Dufur School District board nominated and unanimously approved Dave Beeson to serve as board president for the 2026–27 school year. The motion to nominate Beeson was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also nominated and approved a vice chair to serve in the chair's absence. Earlier in the meeting the board moved to recognize a member's resignation and formally opened the vacancy; the chair said the district will follow the posted process for filling the seat and schedule interviews for applicants.
No roll-call tallies beyond unanimous voice votes were recorded in the meeting transcript. The board instructed staff to post the vacancy and proceed with the rubric-driven interview schedule discussed later in the meeting.
