Renee Baker told the committee the Pennington County certification is the same process used for Mead County, and she presented an estimate of $2,681,727 in property-tax dollars available to the city for 2026. "All of our property tax money goes into the general fund, and so, that's one of our biggest revenue sources there," Baker said.
Following the presentation a committee member moved to approve Ordinance 777 on first reading and forward it to the city council with a recommendation of approval; the motion carried on oral 'aye' responses.
