Committee backs rezoning for Lot R at 111 Rose Hill Drive

The Box Elder Public Works and Planning & Zoning Committee voted Oct. 7 to recommend approval of Ordinance 772, which would rezone Lot R (noted in the record with the address 111 Rose Hill Drive) from General Residential 4 to General Light Industrial. Planning staff said the parcel abuts a light-industrial lot to the south and highway-service zoning to the north, and that the future land-use designation for the area is industrial.
"This rezone is actually on the address is 111 Rose Hill Drive... The future land use designation of this area is, industrial," the Planning Director said while outlining the application. A committee member moved to recommend approval to the full council; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
The recommendation will be forwarded to the city council for final action. The committee also noted that access issues and an associated floodplain development permit were part of the related application set.
