River Ridge to participate in Pelican Sound Safeguard Panel objectives; gatehouse and monument agreements pending review

Board designated Mr. Merrill and Mr. Twombly to represent River Ridge on Pelican Sound’s Safeguard Panel objectives for natural-disaster mitigation and street safety, and staff will finalize gatehouse and monument agreements after engineering rate checks; sidewalk inspection reports will be presented in January.
During Supervisors’ requests, Charlie Krebs said he will finalize billing-rate checks and send the gatehouse and monument agreements to Mr. Adams for execution after he confirms rates. Tony Pires summarized project scope and costs for both projects.
Board Chair Bob Schultz said the River Ridge CDD will be involved in Pelican Sound’s Safeguard Panel objectives: Mr. Keith Merrill will represent the CDD for Objective 2 (safeguarding the community from natural disasters) and Mr. Robert Twombly will represent the CDD for Objective 4 (improving street safety). Eric Long described an updated Action Plan comprising seven objectives and said he will provide an update on the panel’s first meeting, set for December.
Charlie Krebs said the sidewalk-inspection report is being finalized and will be presented at the January meeting along with repair estimates; he will commence line-of-sight inspections in advance.
