Rebecca Bader, the city’s public information officer, presented an update on social media and outreach, saying the city's accounts gained 766 followers in the six months since management changes on April 8 and that current reach covers an estimated 43% of the city's population. Bader credited partnerships with COTA territory, consistent posting by staff, and cross-department content for the organic growth and said the increase was achieved without paid promotion.
Bader invited council to support outreach efforts and asked members to encourage residents to follow and engage with the city's accounts to boost organic visibility. She called out specific staff (Nikki, Anna, Sarah and Erin) for contributions to content and noted Instagram growth is slower due to algorithm differences; council had no follow-up questions.
