Counsel, PSGRC and Village to study Corkscrew Road ownership; Johnson Engineering to inspect streets

District counsel Tony Pires told the board his opinion about ownership of Corkscrew Road (west of U.S. 41) had not changed after he retrieved relevant documents. Board Chair Bob Schultz said the Village of Estero engaged Johnson Engineering to inspect streets, walkways and related infrastructure to determine needed repairs.
PSGRC President Neil Collins updated the board that Town Hall discussions would focus on the intersection of U.S. 41 and the east side of Corkscrew Road; Mr. Wilhems confirmed that the study will include the west side. Counsel and engineer staff provided an overview of county and village positions on ownership and maintenance responsibilities based on past documents and memorandums.
