District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented a revised scope of work for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project designed to allow operations staff to make system adjustments while keeping the project’s original intent. MRI anticipates construction to commence within two to three weeks.
Krebs also presented ancillary costs from Irrigation Concepts: $4,002.50 to repair damaged wiring and about $1,300 each to raise roughly seven to eight irrigation heads. On motion, the Board approved an Irrigation Concepts change order to repair wiring and raise seven to eight irrigation heads in a not-to-exceed amount of $15,000 (motion passed unanimously).
Work on drainage and irrigation is intended to reduce maintenance friction and allow quicker adjustments by operations staff as the larger drainage project proceeds.
