HR director recognizes Amanda Spitzer for payroll certification

Darcy Castleberry, the city’s human resources director, introduced Amanda Spitzer and described her more than 13 years of payroll experience, including work with multi-state payroll systems and benefits brokers. Castleberry noted Spitzer pursued a payroll certification and said, “As one of only 8 certified payroll professionals in the state of South Dakota, I’m very pleased to announce that she has earned her certification.”
Councilmembers acknowledged the recognition and the mayor congratulated Spitzer. Castleberry said Spitzer’s credential will help ensure accurate payroll and benefit service for the city and is a benefit to the human resources department as they expand staff capacity.
