Council designates Mid Continent Communications as local phone provider and approves desktop telephone work order

The City Council approved an agreement and work order with Mid Continent Communications to provide and install desktop telephone systems at city facilities. HR Director Darcy Castleberry (speaker 1) said the work order follows a contract the city signed in August and that staff will update the primary and accounting contact information in the work order to Wayne Rasmussen and Danny Carlson, respectively.
"This is a conjunction with the... contract that we signed in August, and this is a work order to order and actually install the telephones," Castleberry said. Council amended the motion on the floor to include the updated contacts, designated Mid Continent Communications as the city’s local communications provider and authorized the city administrator to sign associated documents. The motion passed on a roll call vote.
Staff indicated the primary contact edits would be included before the documents are finalized and executed.
