Driver requests for Altumint calibration records lead to continuance to Aug. 20

Petitioners at the May 21, 2026 School Zone Speed Enforcement hearing pressed the city for calibration and maintenance records related to automated speed-enforcement equipment. Ian Cole told the magistrate he had requested calibration tests and annual certificates and said the posted-hours sign is "poorly marked." Jean Paul Osorio Rojas said he had submitted a written request and an email to Altumint but "has yet to receive the documentation." He produced a copy of an email addressed to info@altumint.com dated May 6, 2026 during the hearing.
Deputy Chief Larry Holden provided calibration-test results for the day before, the day of, and the day after one notice; however, because Mr. Rojas produced evidence of an external records request and the city said it had not received that request directly, the Special Magistrate continued LA10086211 to the Aug. 20, 2026 hearing to allow the requested records to be produced and reviewed before a ruling.
