Principals report $86,000 in scholarships; graduation and staffing dates set

Secondary Principal Kimberly Payne reported that the district awarded $86,000 in scholarships to seniors this year and that high-school graduation will be Sunday, May 17 at the high-school gymnatorium; Payne also noted an open high-school nurse position and that the last day of school is May 21 with a staff meeting at 1 p.m.
The principals framed these items as routine end-of-year operations. Wehling and Payne also mentioned statewide assessment score comparisons (ISASP) that will map to a new performance basis and whose ratings will be finalized in the fall; the principals did not present final performance ratings at the meeting.
