Sidney board approves recommended raises for staff; master contract with SEA tabled

The Sidney Community School District board approved salary increase recommendations for district administration, supervisors, directors, non-certified staff and bus drivers on May 11. Vice President Justin Travis moved to approve the recommended raises with proposed board changes; Director Megan Franks seconded the motion and it passed 5–0.
Separately, the board discussed the master contract between the district and the Sidney Education Association (SEA) and voted to table the contract for further review. Board members did not finalize contract language or release any dollar figures for the raises during the meeting; the master contract remains under consideration at a future meeting.
