The Litchfield Fire Marshal presented activity reports for April and May. The minutes record 23 inspections and 19 open burning permits in April; no smoke detectors were installed and no fire incidents or investigations were reported. The April data was submitted to NERIS.
For May the Fire Marshal reported 55 inspections, 14 open burning permits, two blasting permits and one fire investigation. Deputy Fire Marshal Litwin gave a fire investigation presentation to high school students, and the minutes note that E. Fuessenich “may be making progress” on the dry hydrant at 262 Milton Road. All May data was submitted to NERIS. The board voted unanimously to accept each monthly report (motions recorded for April and May reports).
