Council Members thanked Harvest Days organizers and city staff during the Aug. 5 meeting. Council Member Paul Glover said the parade "was fun; the fireworks were excellent," and other council members praised turnout, vendors and bands. Several members asked staff to consider safety planning following the recent Millcreek fire.
Mayor Dustin Gettel said the festival "hit different this year with me being mayor," praised staff work and described doing a ride-along with UPD resource shelter officers and Animal Services to better understand agency roles.
