Council hears development update: 25-unit subdivision approved, $2.7M commercial permits

Michael said total permitted commercial investment so far is about $2,725,000.
Council members discussed the shortage of R-3 zoned land that limits immediate multifamily construction opportunities. Michael said, "So we'll see 25 new housing units there within the next 3 years," and the council agreed the city has demand for multifamily product but lacks available R-3 parcels.
