The council approved a variance recommendation for Roberta Fox at 607 South Euclid Avenue to allow a new garage to be constructed two feet from the property line, where code requires a 5-foot setback, creating a 3-foot variance. Michael (S8) told the council the owner expects to invest about $60,000 in the project and noted that the plan commission had approved the variance unanimously.
The clerk called the roll and the variance carried by aye votes from council members present. Michael described the work as a garage replacement and said the proposed structure would be two feet off the property line rather than the five feet required by code.
