Mayor Cameron Kinney noted the Park & Rec Board had already recommended Aspen Brooke Marshall for appointment at its February 19 meeting. Denise Taylor and Ellen Meshefski described Marshall as an engaged school-age participant who would bring a younger perspective to board discussions. Lyndsie Whigham stated she knows the appointee personally and supported the nomination.
Lyndsie Whigham moved to appoint Aspen Brooke Marshall to the Carlin Park & Recreation Board; Denise Taylor seconded. The council voted unanimously to approve the appointment.
No age restrictions apply to the board, and the appointment was approved without objection.
