He told the trustees the office received 12 online complaints in July (8 anonymous), opened 19 new investigations and issued 11 notices of violation and one field appearance ticket; "Thus far, up to the 22nd of this month, we've issued 864 parking tickets," Cooper said.
Trustees pressed Cooper on remediation for a commercial yard cited under the village's new littering rule; Cooper said the property owner had contracted with subcontractors to sweep the street twice daily and was looking into a wash-down truck. Trustees suggested industry controls used at larger facilities, such as FOD pads and undercarriage washing, and asked staff to follow up and report on implementation.
