The Port Jefferson Board of Trustees voted July 22 to set metered parking at $2 per hour, seven days a week from noon to midnight, with the change scheduled to go into effect Aug. 1 to allow staff time to reprogram meters and update HONK. Trustee Franco moved the measure and trustees carried the motion in a roll-call vote.
