House backs $485M infrastructure packet for MDOT; agency operations funded at $1.48B

Both measures were moved to final passage and the clerk recorded the votes on the machine. The appropriations are now House positions and will be taken up by the Senate; committee leaders said the infrastructure dollars are intended in part to leverage federal matching funds for large projects.
What comes next: MDOT will work with the Department of Finance and Administration and legislative budget staff to align match schedules for federal grants and set priorities for capacity and emergency projects.
