Wilmont declines additional insurance quotes and approves $749 laptop split with Lismore

During the clerk’s report, Amber Bertrand told the council that the city’s insurance agent (Wade) had obtained quotes for Equipment Breakdown and Excess Liability coverages. The council opted not to purchase those additional coverages this year.
The clerk also reported her current laptop was no longer working. The city received a $749 quote for a replacement that will be split with the neighboring Lismore office to enable remote access. On a motion by Carolyn Penning, seconded by Tom Slater, the council approved the laptop purchase.
