The City of Wilmont Council heard from maintenance lead Steve Joens about complaints and photos showing apparent damage to headstones in the cemetery. Clerk Amber Bertrand supplied photos and Mayor Josh Balster said his inspection found no clear mower marks, suggesting the damage may be due to freeze‑thaw conditions.
Council instructed maintenance staff to be more vigilant and to document any future damage. The clerk will contact the safety trainer to obtain the vendor form recommended at the town’s recent safety training (an OSHA‑related document) and have Custom Graphics produce a sign for the tree pile.
