Assistant Town Manager Grace Tiezzi told commissioners that on March 5 the Town Council unanimously approved the Commission’s revised charge and the updated name (the minutes note the Commission was formerly the Avon Clean Energy Commission). She said the revised charge has been posted on the Commission webpage and that the Commission’s name has been updated across materials.
The Commission discussed options and timing for a formal public announcement and a rollout plan for the new name and charge; no formal announcement date or motion was recorded in the minutes.
