Avon reviews possible EV charging sites; Voltpost evaluating Town Hall, parks and school office

Assistant Town Manager Grace Tiezzi reported that Voltpost is evaluating multiple potential locations in Avon for electric vehicle charging, including Town Hall, Sycamore Hills Recreation Area, Avon Senior Center, Countryside Park and 200 Fisher Drive (the BOE central office). She said the vendor is also investigating the feasibility of installing a new pole to accommodate a charging station at Fisher Meadows.
Commissioners discussed the sites and the technical feasibility at each location; no final siting decision or funding commitment was recorded in the March 18 minutes. The Commission asked staff to continue coordinating with Voltpost and to report back with feasibility findings and any required infrastructure upgrades.
