Board members pressed staff for updates on staffing and office facilities during ongoing renovations. Staff said the Landscape Planner search is ongoing and that there is a new Principal Planner who will soon attend Board meetings. Staff described two temporary trailers housing Business License, Customer Service and Code Compliance in one, and a smaller module with Planning, Zoning and Historic Preservation staff of nine in the other, noting limited public access during this period.
"The hope is for PZHP to be back in the building sometime near the end of summer," staff said. The Board also discussed a recent assessment of beach restoration and said it will forward the assessment to the City Commission and requested the staff keep the Board apprised of progress on the Landscape Code rewrite.
