Board members reviewed draft brochures intended for public distribution and advocated for emphasizing tree planting over removal. Staff relayed that the Mayor commented the brochure could have included tree removal processes, and the Board responded that the materials are strong and recommended a distribution plan via the city's 14 neighborhood associations, realtor offices and other public offices.
Craig Frost was identified as the overall neighborhood association representative and a Board member said they will contact him to coordinate distribution. The Board also confirmed that steps to maintain the Tree City designation are in place and will include a planting at the park as part of the designation requirements.
