Staff told the commission that a contractor cleared areas beyond the approved limit of work at the 985 Belmont Street project, encroaching on the wetland buffer but not into the wetland itself. The developer provided a letter and a mitigation plan today agreeing to submit a detailed restoration plan for administrative review and to implement approved measures before requesting a certificate of compliance.
The agent said the developer already faces monitoring requirements for other enhancement work on the site and that staff will require the restoration measures to be implemented and monitored before final sign‑off. If the developer fails to perform, the commission retains enforcement tools under the existing order of conditions.
