The Lake Bronson City Council approved a request from resident Travis Rector for a wedding reception and street dance on June 20.
Rector said he plans to set up spool tables by the Maverick Bar and tables and chairs by the Legion; the Sub Shack planned to operate 10 a.m.โ2 p.m. Mayor B. Schmiedeberg said "the city will put up barricades on 1st street, so no traffic can get through, and put out the city picnic tables around the area," and added Village Square bathrooms would be open for use. Pattijo Shablow moved to approve the event arrangements; Clarence (Skip) Strom seconded and the motion passed with all members in favor.
Council recorded no further permitting conditions beyond public safety measures the mayor mentioned (barricades and city picnic tables).
