The Lake Bronson City Council voted May 18 to set the wage range for a new city clerk at $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience, with a 32–40 hour workweek. The motion, made by Councilor Clarence (Skip) Strom and seconded by Councilor Brian Undeberg, passed with all members in favor.
Councilors Tatum Carlson and Clarence Strom were named to the employee committee to conduct interviews for the position; if a conflict arises, another council member will participate. The application deadline for the clerk job was set for June 15, 2026. Longtime clerk Sandra Lund told the council she would remain through a transition period to train her replacement.
The clerk’s hiring and wage decision were presented alongside budget planning for 2027, and councilors discussed staffing needs and the timing of a retirement transition.
