Residents say Jones Crossing needs more parks and better HOA response; developer to investigate

Council members relayed resident feedback about Jones Crossing Phases 1 and 2 during the Dec. 15 work session. Residents reported the development’s single playground is heavily used and asked for more amenities—suggestions included a skate area, dog park, grills, pavilions and trail connections.
Council members also reported persistent communication problems with the Phase 1 homeowners association, saying homeowners had difficulty getting responses to architectural and other requests. According to the minutes, the developer committed to investigate those HOA communication complaints and return with updated plans that respond to resident concerns.
The council did not take a final vote on the plat; instead it asked the developer for two proposals and tabled approval until a January 2026 meeting so resident feedback can be addressed in the revised options.
