The New Holstein School District Board approved second readings of a set of Neola policy updates at the June 15 meeting. Policies advanced include Po5830 (Student Fundraising), Po6605 (Crowdfunding), Po6608 (Accountability and Oversight of Fundraiser and Crowdfunding Disbursements), Po6610 (Nondistrict-Supported Student Activity Accounts), Po7230 (Gifts, Grants, and Bequests), Po9211 (District Support Organizations), Po9215 (School Support Organizations), Po9700 (Relations with Non-School Affiliated Groups), and Po9700.01 (Advertising and Commercial Activities).
The approvals were recorded after the second reading motion (moved by Heidi Brill, seconded by Vicky Anhalt). The policies address governance of fundraising and third-party support organizations; the board’s approval at second reading moves these policies closer to formal adoption and implementation by district administration.
