At a June 30 special meeting, the Lake Bronson City Council paused its morning interviews and reconvened at 5:00 p.m. to continue candidate interviews for the city clerk position.
Tatum Carlson moved, and Clarence (Skip) Strom seconded, to reconvene interviews at 5:00 p.m.; the motion passed with the members present in the morning session in favor. The evening session included three additional applicants who were asked the same questions posed earlier in the day. After deliberation, the council recorded that Mayor B. Schmiedeberg and Pattijo Shablow would abstain from the hiring decision.
Council member Brian Undeberg later moved, with Clarence (Skip) Strom seconding and Tatum Carlson noted in agreement, that if the selected candidate does not accept the position the council would offer it to the second applicant they had identified. The minutes record that motion as agreed; no further voting tallies for that contingency are provided in the minutes.
The council adjourned the special meeting at 7:00 p.m.
